Exeter Street Pastors is recruiting Street Pastors again!
For those who don't know who I am, I'm the administrator of Exeter Street Pastors. Rev. Aran Richardson is the coordinator of Exeter Street Pastors. Wonderful people from churches all over Exeter are members of the management and pastoral teams and Street Pastors.
We're asking anyone interested in becoming a Street Pastor to submit an application by December 15th. We hope to commence our second wave of training in March 2010 and deploy our second batch of Street Pastors in June 2010.

This is a book about communicating with people of other faiths. First published in 1988 with a second edition in 2002, it is a very well written and easy to understand book. It explains the beliefs held by other faiths and highlights the ways in which Christians can positively engage with their followers.
I have read a number of similar books in the past but all have tended to be rather critical and negative of the faiths they examine. Martin and Rosemary (a member of St Leonard's) don't do this; they describe the faiths in a open and non-judgemental way. They then go on to suggest positive approaches that might lead to us being able to share and openly discuss Christianity with them.

David Harley's new book on the life of Abraham. The aim of the book is to help people look at the remarkable faith and dogged perseverance of this man but also to see how his moments of weakness when his faith wavered and he brought trouble to other people and embarrassment to his family.
